Saeed was born in Karachi, Pakistan and is the youngest member of SEVEN8SIX. He moved to the United States in 1989 with his family (which includes his older brother Saad who is also a member of SEVEN8SIX). Having settled in Canton, Michigan, Saeed found himself right at home in the loving community of the Muslim Community of Western Suburbs (MCWS). His family placed great emphasis on strong Islamic values and maintaining their Pakistani culture.
Although Saeed’s talents in school are promising, he truly excels in singing. In addition, he can play multiple instruments and sing in multiple languages. Saeed began singing and playing instruments very early in life. He pursued interests such as qawwali and ghazals. Saad showed a passionate love for the tabla. Having been born in Pakistan, but growing up in the West contributed to his unique style in music, in which he attempts to bridge the two cultures. Saeed started practicing different melodies with his older brother, while staying true to certain styles of Pakistani music. He would often travel with his older brother and perform at shows, playing musical instruments while his brother would sing. These experiences were instrumental in aiding him to gain the confidence needed to join what would later be SEVEN8SIX. So when asked by his older brother and childhood friends Omar, Zafar and Shahaab, it was apparent to him that he too wanted to do something to help spread the message of Allah to people. Alongside the other members of the group, Saeed helps to prepare and arrange all the music for SEVEN8SIX. Having him join the band brings the unfinished touches which SEVEN8SIX lacked before.
