Saad was born in Karachi, Pakistan and is the oldest of three children (including the future SEVEN8SIX member Saeed.) After moving to the United States in 1989, his family decided to settle in Canton, Michigan. The Muslim Community of Western Suburbs (MCWS) was a great and loving community. At home, Saad and his siblings were raised with a strong emphasis on Islamic values and the Pakistani culture. Although Saad found his niche in quite a few different areas at school, he never gave up what he loved most – singing, art and soccer.
At Eastern Michigan University he is a double major in Economics and Fine Art, concentrating in drawing. He has future plans of going to Dental School insha’Allah. Saad took up singing very early in life. His first performance was at an art fair in Karachi, Pakistan at the age of 7. "Behind the confident little kid holding the mic was a very scared boy. I was very scared, but I knew I couldn't show that to the public. And I knew it would interfere with my singing so I had to belt it out and do the best I could."
When he moved to the United States, he and his cousins took up interests like qawwali and ghazals. Saad showed a passionate love for the tabla. "In the beginning we couldn't afford a tabla so we had to play on shoe boxes and Tupperware." He had a strong likeness for Jagjeet Singh ghazals. Growing up in the west, while maintaining a deep rooted interest in Pakistani music, has helped to lay the foundation for Saad to begin creating his own unique style of music. He was particularly fond of some of the artists from his homeland and would often perform their songs with his younger brother here in the United States.
He has explored a vast variety of music and sang in different styles, making him an extremely versatile singer. "I don't try to limit myself from learning, whether it is learning about Islam, people, or music. I try to do as much as possible and expose myself to all areas, which in turn helps me to become a better person." “One of the biggest thrills was performing my single 'Sapno me' in front of 5,000 plus people at the State Theatre in Detroit, MI." Saad has also won several singing competitions, in numerous cities. Without question, Saad brings quite a flavor to SEVEN8SIX. Having worked with numerous producers, Saad has picked up a thing or two about the music industry. "There are a lot of projects that I'm working on at the moment, trying to expand my horizons as a singer."
