Your face should stay clean all the time; cleansing with warm water should be done every day. A gentle soap should be used that matches your skin’s type. Do not ever use bare hands to touch your skin at any time. Fingers can be used to clean off your face but not your whole hands unless you are sure that they are clean and no bacteria would be transferred on to your skin. A facial cleansing cloth would be something wise to use. You need to go with a product that you can throw away such as Dove, Noxzema, or Oil of Olay Biore. You will find some in which the cloth will be impregnated with the cleansing lotion.
Your neck and face should be gently washed with that cloth. Make small circles on your skin using that cloth while cleaning the face. Stay away from the pimple and do not scrub or rub on it or around it but make sure it is clean. Get your face dried in the air instead of using a towel to dry it off. Your moisture will retain through air drying your face.
A good acne treatment cream can be rubbed over your pimple. Make sure that the cream contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in order to treat pimples more effectively. Once the cream is totally dry over the pimple; wash it gently or whatever the instructions tell you to do. Lastly, make sure you apply moisturizing lotion over your face in order to defeat dryness. Never pick at your pimples, do not stand in front of the mirror staring at them, make use of UV sunscreen, and never try squeezing them out.
